Using My Voice For Societal Issues ; ARMS

Poetry as taught me to have a voice.

You have to have your own voice in a society like ours.

Society can be a scary place.

Everyday we pick but the pace, not stopping for anyone or anything.

Not even people dying at the expense of ARMS.

ARMS.

They hug,

They love,

They express,

They create,

They make handshakes,

They make Change,

Change that affects laws on the "arms" we bear.

Bigger Arms that destroy,

Kill and deploy.

Bigger arms that would take lives faster than any legal weapon.

Bigger arms that America thinks they can't live without,

That's killing their own future generation without discretion.

The NRA making decoys so they don't lose money,

While the government talks to them like their sweet honey,

Can't give up a few arms to see the future live long?

The whole system rub by guns and they think its fun to keep kids on the run,

From their country, from their schools,

'Cause no police can be bobby with the tool?

That's not even cool, it's almost like there's no rule to stop the hurt,

When they gone keep the white boys from getting turnt?

Why are we called the "best country of all",

When our own governemnt is having a ball killing us all?

And if you missed the point, God bless y'all,

'cause if we don't these arms, they gone kill us all.

Then there are no voices at all.

You have to have a voice in a society like ours.
