USMC Yellow Footprints

“I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend The Constitution of the United States Against all enemies foreign and domestic.” Before going to boot camp, saying goodbye to family and friends, Reminiscing about the decision you made, That will follow you to the end. You have wanted to call yourself A “United States Marine” That only 1% of Americans, Truly knows what that means. Sitting in the USO, waiting for the Drill Instructors to yell. Adrenaline pumping through your veins, not knowing what they will tell. Right when one busts through the door, Yelling “GET OUTSIDE, FACES ON THE FLOOR!” As you start to question yourself, “Why am I here?!” Just keep your head up, 13 weeks will soon be here. “GET OFF THE BUS, FEET ON THE YELLOW FOOTPRINTS!” “UNITED STATES MARINE” will soon be an imprint.
