Utopia Has Come

She pleads for understanding

He refuses commanding

She change

They cry for acceptance

We are deaf to their prayers

They are beaten down

More and more

Layer after layer

Defiance grows from pain

Pain is a result of shame

We protest for equality, but

They are blind.

Society tells her different is okay

Yet oddity is judged

 In this world,

We must find it in our hearts to forgive

But

Cruelty is unrelenting

It hopes to outlive amity

Woe to the unsullied

It is okay

When tortured souls

And grief-stricken wails

No longer pierce the air,

When the blood-stained water runs clear

And the anxiety is done,

We will live

As the agony ceases and dignity is returned

Faith is revived

And hearts all over pound

We begin to rebuild the walls that

Hate has broken down

Penitence is earned by fallen tears

The extermination of insanity is upon us

As harmony is restored in humanity

When it is completed

Silence is left

…..

Sighs of relief fill the air

The cataclysmic war is over

The age of chaos is done

A new and peaceful world is upon us

 Utopia has come.
