Vacant apartment.

I am a vacant apartment, open and ready to welcome the next tenant. I'm excited to see them look at me and feel like they can make me their next home. Others make it known from the beginning that they are not willing to stay long but regardless of that, I'm still a vacant apartment, open and ready to welcome the next tenant. With white walls and a grand staircase, I still believe the view of the city is what makes them stay. They fill me up with warmth and laughter. With some I only get the warmth from the sun's rays during the day. It's not only their beds that are cold but so are their hearts. I am never home for them but just a vacant apartment, open and ready to welcome the next tenant.
