"Valencia"-Free
Remove the filter:
And I stand on the other side raw and wide eyed.
Flawed, but nowhere near flawless.
Carefree, not quite careless.
I am silly smiles and wide mouthed laughs.
I am intimate conversations despite judgment, because the intimate me is the real me.
I am Netflix and no pants,
Talking with my mouth full because ridicule and judgment don't change me.
I am old tattered blankets and socks that reveal my toes,
Half full water bottles overflowing my night stand,
And a multitude of Disney movies despite my age..
Rated G was rated for me.
I am "ain't" instead of isn't,
Because what's a conversation without grammatical errors?
I am, raw eyes, from rubbing at them free from the shackles of make-up and "perfection" and fear of the resultant smear.
I am, sniffling and breathing loudly through my nose and not my mouth, for if I let your thoughts affect me I'd forget to breath and die in fear of your judgment.
I am, sneezing and saying "bless you" to myself cause no one's around to say it for me.
I am words that come out with no meaning, not even a thought.
I am who society frowns at..
But who are they to judge me when they have only seen the world through filters.
