Valentine Day - Part Two
Valentine day has become over rated!
It has become a day to show off.
The meaning has been lost,
under a pile of commercial stuff.
Where has the meaning gone?
The sacrifice, the work, the care.
Love should be celebrated every day.
By the gestures of people who are always there.
Love is not a post on Facebook,
It’s not a Tweet, it’s not an Instagram.
Trying to figure out modern love,
is like trying to decipher a cryptogram.
No material goods in the world,
can replace genuine thought.
Valentine’s day feels like a joke,
because love can now be bought.
