Valentine's Doom Day

The hearts and love in red

these moments I wish for

when lovers set out for bed

this hurts me to my core

My first and my last

Valentine's a threat

our moments were a blast

but my hurt has already set

Roses and bears are crap

but I want them so bad

my rant set out in rap

to keep me from being so sad

Every year I recieve nothing

but I always give back

at least a rose or something

this day I dread, a fact

Couples walk past in the hallway

the pain, how much this hurts

how I wish this day would go away

along with their "I love you" shirts

Oh how I wish to burst their bubble

and let their hearts suffer

to see the couples resort to crumble

now this is my heart's luster

Valentine's day cards and letters

how gross but really sweet

the dim lights and mood setters

while I watch tv "fat" and eat

This day is make or break

how soothing to my ears

this day is give or take

tissues, get ready for the tears

The red seems more like burning hell

it means bloodshot torn love

to mend it the roses they sell

to help set flight to the broken dove
