Valor

How can we call it honorable? To be buried in the seas lapse To let the masses die amongst the sand And those left behind, they did say They said he died in valor Was it though? Was it valor that marched to the beach Was it honor that faced the wrath The light at the end of the tunnels The one that ended it all And to draw one last breath To see not the beach It's brisk and beautiful glory But to face the rigid cliffs To die at the wall of fury And those that managed One last look upon the beach They peered upon a grand horror The vision they saw was one of doom The red water and the red sun Splattered with the blood of thousands An we still call it valor? We left them alone In want and struggle Their corpses lined the beach And in memory We call it valor
