Values in poetry

Poetry never ran through my mind

I always say it as these difficult words put in a rhyme

Freshman year I had to make a poetry book

I was frightened how it would turn out to look

As I wrote, my mind began to flow

Never did I know that I would glow

Poems began to open my eyes

I some wrote lines as I cried

From that point on, I began to write

Never did I feel so bright

I felt accepted in the poetry

I got to write freely and beautifully
