Vampire

Light kills these eyes Shutting, hiding me into the shadows that lie Screaming in terror as I cry blood Pooling over to what drowns floods But then darkness covers the sky And my eyes are wide Blood Vanishing Ghost-like diminishing I grasp the night Holding it in flight Ready to give what it waits My life and my fate
