Variations of Rot
The color red is love, and passion.
But scarlet is razors and violent outbursts.
Maroon reminds me of my favorite sweatshirt
and the hair color of a boy I pursued in 6th grade.
Dark red is being frightened by all the blood.
Red satin is Lucy,
phenomenal in a quiet way.
Red-orange is fire;
red with black lines
brings Spiderman to mind.
