Various Nights

Being by your side I felt indestructible

Every day felt like a new adventure

Causing twists and turns in my life, oh how I was so gullible

Atlast I had found the one, the last contender

Unless I was wrong?

So I knew the romance novel wouldn't last for long

Evenings brought a new fight

I dreaded to face the night

Lashing out became the norm

Over a couple of months, I had taken on a different form

Various masks you wore

Every person I had once known, that I used to adore

You pushed away, said I didn't need them

Obviously, I came back because I loved you

Unless, abuse can come in an emotional form too?
