Vaude-Villianette

(To Whom it concerns, including teachers)

Many are the days when I am silly:

Making up new words, slightly demented

Imagining worlds, ever belov'ed

Gathering all sorts of Piccadilly

Repeating oddities, will-nilly

Leaving trivialities un-remembered

Fickle, free, frick-diddle-dee, senses-fled

Flouncy, fly-away, fun-finding, frilly.

Many are the days when I’m again told:

“Stop acting that way, you are much too old.”

To which I reply, wholly sincerely:

“I love to laugh; you make me laugh because-

Just don’t take yourself too seriously-

Nobody else does.”
