Venting
Pot ruined my life no doubt
But I'm sobering up and I've reached out for help
A toxic work environment doesn't help my mental health
I'm trying to stay positive, trying to find a way to accumulate some wealth
When it rains it pours and shit keeps falling on my plate
If it's not one thing, than it's another, and it continues to frustrate
Trying to fight my inner demons that want my to fall on my face
Trying to avoid the negative self talk and the constant self-hate
48 days sober and physically I feel great
but it's not enough, financially I'm drained and I feel irate
It's a constant struggle, and my shoulders bare the weight
What the fuck is it going to take to get a fucking break
Throwing all my energy into learning something new
So many roadblocks, and I'm just trying to break through
A better life for my daughter, is what I pursue
All my failures come to mind when I stare into the rearview
My mistakes can't define who I am today
A better version of myself is in the works everyday
I keep telling myself that it will all be okay
Everyday I try and change my ways
Change my thought process, but somedays my mind strays
I can't let these thoughts get the best of me
Everyday I wake up is a chance to break free
Daily gratitude helps clears my mind of any debris
One day at time, somethings gotta give, I have to believe
