Venus and Vogue

Flipping through designs as she struts down the crowded street

Heads turn and eyes follow as the busy Manhatten street parts for her

Long, brown curls fall in ringlets by her face

She stops as the doorman hurredly straightens his hat and waves her in

She removes her pair of large black sunglasses

Revealing enchanting green eyes

"Time for business" she calls to the assistant who trails her from the door

How did a twenty two year old rise to such a high editor postition at the nation's top fashion magazine?

Well, she was very persuasive

and her eye for beauty was exceptional

she had spent the last few centuries observing it after all
