On the Verge

Chaos!
Water, sun, guns, rain
Politics, torture, deceits, pain
Fire, carelessness and our house is gutted
Yet, more deception so our hope is battered.
It’s an absolute desolation within this concrete jungle
Leaving behind our egos on a pile of rubble.
For the powers that lurk in darkness
And their machinations that beget our madness
Our world slouches on spindly legs of uncertainty
To the brink of perpetual adversity.
Ridiculous!
