Vertigo

Is there a name on the gravestone?

No.

It's new. And clean. And waiting.

Is there a face to the stranger?

No.

He's blank. And distant. And gone.

Is there memory in my thoughts?

Yes.

They're cruel. And dark. Foreboding.

People rush by. Days blur. Months pass.

Actions are meaningless. Futile. Trivial.

Life is cold. Indifferent.

Is there a name on the gravestone?

No.

It's new. And clean. And waiting.
