Vests
In life you intend to do your best
But frequently your unable to guess
why you havent been going far
so you throw in the towel and resort to the bar
But drinking wont help you in your quest
So stop your whinning and put on your vest
thats decorated in sequins and outshines the rest
so that you can ace your lifelong test
of making it big in this world I address
in this poem that probably wont stand the test,
Of time because I somewhat lack rhymes
but hey at least i gave it my best
Maybe some kind old soul will lend me THEIR vest
so that I too can shine like the best
of the best and make a dent in this world that I sing
Because truly the smallest ones can amount to great things
Something wrong with this poem?
