A light in this darkness can be so hard to find,

seeking solace, feeling so blind as to what really matters in this life.

But then the truth can be seen all around, in the love that is shared

between pet and owner,

rather between mother and her furry daughter,

father and his tail wagging son,

a young girl and her ever present companion.

An animal can change a life, can save a life, and if people could only see,

what a difference there could be in this world.

To be a vet, to save the life of an animal,

is to save the life of their human counterpart.

To save a life is to have changed a life,

to have made a difference,

and who wouldn’t want that.
