Viaggio Italiano
Anytime the moods strikes for some good fun,
Some minds wander to the Italian sun.
They get lost in the beautiful mountain top,
Soaring way high above that their ears pop.
Old and mysterious you can see the sites,
That tell you their story in shining lights.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa soars high,
It appears to be leaning you ask why.
Many take a pilgrimage to the Pope,
Searching for guidance and gaining new hope.
As you make your way up Italy’s coast,
Ponte Vecchio stands tall on its post.
Verona is the city full of love,
Where it is the only thing that’s dreamt of.
You might spot a bride and groom swap a kiss,
In their bright eyes you can see so much bliss.
Finally you reach Venice in a boat,
In this city of water you can float.
The food will never cease to amaze you,
Gelato, biscotti, and pasta too.
Smells of food greet you like a welcome mat,
There is nothing more delicious than that.
Even though money may be no object,
Euros are what the Italians expect.
Ciao is spoken when you want to say hi,
Arriverderci is used for good-bye.
Buon Viaggio is said by many,
And the memories don’t cost a penny.
