Music right now is too safe,
not all but some,
too many artists just making music for the club or the radio or just because their record label said that’s more popular, not really thinking about it inspiring someone, challenging the next to be creative, that word doesn’t seem to exist anymore in the industry
or maybe with fame comes emptyiness of the soul,
Lauryn said it best, music is supposed to inspire,
nothing wrong with the hype,
but its not classic, it dies down quick, when I listen to music now I want it to touch my soul, I listen to it for medication, for the sparking of my mind, inspiration, allow me to vibe when I create, lyrical, honest expression, storytelling, that’s lost, only a few I know does that and their underrated or overlooked,
the craft needs to come back where lyrics weren’t a business
but they were competitive and untouchable filled with raw talent, heart. Heart that’s what music is missing, most, almost all are heartless, hurt, egotistical,
so their vulnerability is hidden,
But I thought music was supposed to heal?
