Vibrant Gray

I live in a world of vibrant gray

One half night, the other day

Power to the people

But it all goes to one

A king or a queen

Now a civil war’s begun

Ying and yang

A continuous chase

A clash and clang

They pick up the pace

Winter and Summer

They fight through the year

To the beat of the drummer

They all die, My Dear

We all live in a world of vibrant gray

We stand all alone

Be it night or day

Give power to the people

It all goes to one

Kill them, though

And the civil war’s done

No beat of the drummer

He died in the war

Soldiers crumpled like paper

Like the sad smile they wore

See the world we live in is a vibrant gray

The deafening silence drives the people away

Give power to the people

But there’s now only one

He’s not a king or a queen

Just an ill healthed man

He preaches his story...

But his mind grows tired of rhyming as his word becomes old news

He lives in a world of vibrant gray

And he hopes he soon passes away
