Vicious Circle( Where is the Love?)
Pay attention! Listen!
Do you not hear a poor soul crying?
Shouldn't every human being be able to laugh, sing, and dance?
There are a few destitute souls never given rest to even have a chance.
Every day, society constantly putting them to test.
Don't you get it?!
People! I want you to stop and consider: how sad life must be for you to just quit it.
Know this! A few humans beings seemingly haven't found a reason to live it.
Life so full of opportunities, out of everything they seem to find nothing
to give breath to their dreams.
So many boys, girls, women, and men with low self-esteem!
You could say it was/is these peoples' own fault to end their life?
Yet- is it not us who gives them the knife?
It is THEM who decides to overdose on medicine?
For most, they could have stop it!
Maybe so, but we gave them a reason to pop them!
Social media has become a tool,
a means by which seems to cause alot of people to drool.
Has it become a rule in which people have to be so cruel?
It is almost as if they have been taught or rather bought a lie: when on social media
make a person cry!
Of course! It may be you have not ever hurt them physically!
Yet, this viscious circle continues, whether on social media or on the streets,
fueled by such things as hate speech.
"Stick and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"
This is such a foolish thing to claim!
Is not aforementioned words to blame, for being the cause of so much pain.
Of course, it is of each person's own volition to speak words that mar.
Still, words deserve more recognition for being deadly
since they are in almost everybodys' repertoire.
Tell me: is it not Peace we seek to find? If so, we must first learn to be kind.
Why does it seem we are creating anything, but such a world.
I look around and cry out, along with everyone else who has dared to care.
Together with hearts laden with sorrow, ever hoping for a better tomorrow.
There is one question which we all share:
Where is the love?
