Vietnam / Abu Karim
If you win a war, you may not be counted as victorious.
The Vietnamese fighting with immeasurable valor against
United States of America drove away the last American
soldier from their country, but in the war of economy
America has snatched away the victory of Vietnam.
Vietnam is now the poorest country.
It has been shrouded in the burial of democracy.
The Vietnamese girls who were abused by American
soldiers have had children who are now going to seize
the whole country.
The Vietnamese now roam on the streets of America.
They serve as hired soldiers here and there.
Ho Chi Min has been inscribed on the coins
of Vietnam, but he has been erased from the
minds of the common people of Vietnam.
If a town or an airport or university is named
after a leader, will he become memorable?
If his ideals fall into deep oblivion,
is there any use of such any naming?
He whose life and dreams are always
remembered by us is the great leader.
He need not be connected with any town.
Even after winning a war a nation may be defeated:
an example is Vietnam.
