Vietnam/ Sad Truth

Another country breaks out in fight  Soldiers families cry in the night  Soldiers prepare to leave for war  Families say goodbye at the door  Soldiers finally board the plane  To many do leave their homes in vain  Bullets fly in every direction  Soldiers must show no affection  Bombs set fire everywhere  The sky is filled with a bright red glare  Soldiers are falling to the floor  Families shall see them no more  People watch from across the state And see the poor soldiers' fate  Families pray and say Dear angels of the night Protect my son from the fight  Finally its done and over  Soldiers come home and some families are left alone.
