The View

As the day starts to rest The sun does its best Setting alight the swirling waves Painting fire on the nature it bid adieu; This is a process of glorious and pure perfection− The City of Lights will receive The fading sun’s last kiss; Slowly comes the night And the Princess moon rises overhead. You know, I hear she turns quite beautiful When the moon shines on her so high. To me there wasn’t any doubt That this city would be mine− The sheer sight of its grandeur. I was caught by surprise By the sight of one billion, tiny, Electric fireflies All around me like music, Enchanting my heart with a powerful spell. You know − I hear they say, There is no view like that from the top And it is true, true what they say. The Lovers’ Landmark is unrivaled even by Aphrodite
