A View From the Sky


Lifting the sliding cover, she glimpsed concrete, painted yellow and white, dotted with reflectors. Moving faster, faster, everything began to blur. She felt heavy. The cityscape shrunk away, replaced by squares, some a brilliant blue, others of varying shades of green. The wings obscured her view, but she didn’t mind. Cold steel kept her afloat.
