View of Society

In a day and time of such hate,

Never such violence and pain to date.

Hatred and chaos consume every day,

But yet those in that flame are seemingly okay.

In a personalized hell, a heinous crime.

Almost merciful, it is a mocking time.

In a place of deceit, such sickly perfection.

Fool’s gold smiles, tin foil personalities, a fake reflection.

When the ideal is bony beauty,

Become a size four, that is a girl’s duty.

Otherwise, face the rejection and silence

There will be no avoiding the subtle violence,

Towards those who defy and break the rules.

Pretend to believe and stray from fools.

Don’t dare to break from the view of society.

To do so, keep to accepted forms of propriety.
