(poems go here) Black White Puerto Rican We’re all the same so what is with the stereotypes? Being called names that hurt and make you crazy. Asian German Russian They just want to fit in. Living in a world where once you are looked at they run. Forced to live in a neighborhood of your own kind. Makes me want to run to my special place for comfort and never leave. Moms who make all the pain go away. British African Romanian Made fun of cause the accents are different. Called out to be the laughing stock of the class. Looking up to the sky asking God “Why am I not like them?” Finally hearing my answer, “I made you unique, beautiful, and do not let anyone tell you otherwise; there is no need to be like others.” Waking up to a brand new day, finding out I love me for me and I am not going to change for them. They can hate, but I am going to appreciate ME.
