The Vigil: For Robert Orlando

The light brightens the expressions

Of those that you know

Crickets chirp

And the air is battering

We all hope you are here

We reminisce

Of your personality and gifts

The choir hums

The angels lift you up

We think you are here

We huddle together

To recall the past

When you were here with us

Your moments and laughs

I can feel you with us

The candles burn

And the wax slowly drips

But the world is hushed

We will be okay

We know for sure

That you’re here with us.
