The Village

The village deteriorates

Brother turns on brother

Thighs bear witness to scars

Swords brought in by the army

Are used by the villagers

To strike

To cut

The soul of the village is no longer whole

And will never be the same

Why doesn’t anyone help?

The neighboring villages interact with the village

Yet nobody knows

The village yearns for others to know

To help

But the village is scared

Scared others will know

Scared others will help

The village burns itself from the inside out

No one can see the chaos

For the green eyed guards do their job
