Ville Mentality

Looking out your window;

Do you see what I see?

Mothers crying

While blood stains the concrete.

Getting no sleep

So your kids can have something to eat.

Fighting for freedom that isn’t free.

Looking out your window;

Do you see what I see?

No support to keep going

But pressure to stop trying.

Allowing young people to age

Without them knowing that they have a choice.

Looking out my window;

Can you look beyond what I see ?

An opportunity to give back my streets.

Motivation to keep the faith

To show that white coats

Are just as powerful as red capes.

Ville Mentality is easy to gain

While facing your weakness and enduring the pain.

Use that as motivation to grow.

Use that as a green light to go.
