Vincent B.

Thoughts of you abound in my mind This terrible struggle within my life, Has caused me grief – and terrible strife. Between love and hate this horrific state Underneath you lay in a cemented slate. Hands invading my youthful terrain You never truly explained- Your created guilt and wounding shame. This Shallow grave and silent stone above your cold and dusty bones- I remain with a forever question unanswered and alone.

This is my journey and self expression is how I choose to deal with it; words, writing has been the outlet where I control without fear, without shame, the pen and paper will never betray you. The struggles and confusion while feeling both love and hate for someone or something that has occurred is an aspect of every person's life that we all must deal with at some point. You did a great job in this poem of describing what these conflicting emotions feel like and how you try to deal with them.
