The Vinedresser
“I am the true vine, and my Father the vinedresser.” – John 15:1
You adorn me with the riches of your love
And protect me from the evils of this Earth.
I am yours-
So do what you will with me-
Use me as you see fit,
I give all I have to you
To be made into who you made me to be,
I give it all up-
I give it all to you
To be with you.
I am nothing more than a vine
Trailing this land-
But you are the vinedresser
Covering me with your wonders.
You gave me new beginnings,
You show me mercy,
And
You guide me along the path of
The righteous.
As I walk these narrow roads
You help me keep my eyes
On the path you have laid
before me.
You proved the strength I need to be who you want
Me to be.
You are in me
And you shine through
With everything I do-
When people look at me
I dont want them to just
See me,
So I do all I can to make
You seen in me-
‘Cause I am nothing more than a
Vine-
But you are the vinedresser.
