A Violet Beauty
A Violet Beauty
Smooth scaly skin
That slithers like the wind
The body like a wave
Perceived as black as the sea
Crawling through a cave
About to attack for sensuality
Scared since I was young
To be hurt by his tongue
The pain in his teeth
Along with his fast-moving feet
A friend approaches me with a deal
A plan to make my fear heal
She comes to me as bright as a star
About to make a special memory
As she climbs up my arm
I feel a sense of alarm
Once she wraps around my neck
I feel less like a wreck
Now we are face to face
As her smile makes my fear erase
Nestling on my shoulder
I feel the boulder of fear explode
I am no longer afraid of the slithering beauty
It is my duty to protect the violet child
Once afraid of her body and teeth
I have yet to feel any fear beneath
In the surface of my mind
I have finally become aligned to my violet beauty.
