The Viper's Bite

The ones who love you the most

will be the ones who betray you.

Because of your passion for them

it will hurt the greatest.

Though they say they love you,

snakes lie behind their teeth.

They hold your hand,

help you stand,

then throw you down to weep.

They make you cry when they tell their lies

and stab you in the back.

For all their lies they will apologize and you should give them forgiveness.

But be wary of them, who you call your friends, for the viper's bite is venomous.
