As God lays me down to sleep, I pray the lord my soul to keep.

If I should die before I wake, I pray the lord my soul to take. 

Growing to old age, memories began to fade.

Ripples in time redefine who we are. 

It's like at one point we're on top of the world, feeling as healthy as a horse.

But it’s like at the flip of a switch, one could be 6 feet in a ditch.

 Dreams and goals tucked away in a casket. 

As humans, we are natural fragile beings with a misconception that at times we have the idea that we are superhuman. Not effected by natures weapons, beyond

bondage and only held back by our mind sets. 

But life's ironic perspective and humble but yet severe shifts wake us from are blissful ignorance. And what we're left with is the reality of crucial situations.

Like it takes a funeral to slow many down in a nation.

Like it takes a disaster to remind us that things don't last.

Forever was never truly guaranteed to be forever.

The fairytales prophesied lies, the endings many have in their lives don't yield towards the bright side. 

So are we caught up in an illusion or the other side of life?

Trying to live to the fullest before our well runs dry.

Having the least amount of regrets on our death beds, no "what if's" or "I could have" said. 

No one knows what is towards the end, but keep in mind a new beginning begins.

No one ever truly dies their spirit lives own through the loved ones they left behind.
