Vision

Now that I've taken off my rose colored glasses I see I see who you really are beneath the smooth talk and sweet lies I see the pain you planned to inflict on me all along I see it Clearly like the smoke clearing a desperate room Like a scorned woman waiting to exhale I see I see I was never truly yours though you were always mine And now as I lay here alone in my thoughts I see its me It's me who should have seen you for what you really are A jerk. Someone who used me for a moment yes I see I see you unscathed ignorant of the mountain you crushed down to a pebble Blind to the beauty that is me. But I am no longer unaware of these facts and when I look down the road at the future ahead of me. Guess what I don't see. YOU.
