Vision

I had a dream.

I dreamed I saw you lying there,

Looking at me, with your dark brown eyes.

The emptiness that was once consuming space

On my bed next to me, was filled with your presence.

I dreamed I reached for you and ran my fingers

through your hair,

Soft and curly to the touch.

I dreamed of you caressing me.

Taking me inside the sphere of euphoria.

I dreamed I was happy and glowing.

Happy for you being there, glowing from the way I felt.

Overflowing with emotions of just wanting you.

Wishing you wouldn't have to go so soon.

I wanted my vision of you to last forever.

I wanted to cease the time and lie next to you for a

moment longer.

Not wanting to wake up from this dream, not yet.

It felt so good, it felt so real.

But alas, my dream had to come to an end.

I had to wake up.

I had to let you go because I knew I'd have this dream

again and for a time it will have the same ending.

But hopefully, in the near future, when I dream this

dream, I'll never wake up thus I won't have to let go

of you.
