Visit Me

I am empty with no one inside

No one comes to visit me

My walls are shaky

And my windows black

No one comes to visit me

With a dusty, broken floor

And blinds closed off to sunlight

No one comes to visit me

With a basement where rodents hide

Only pests can keep my lonely present company

But secretly I still long for the past

When people came to visit me

A time when my walls were bright

And I was full of life

When I was kept perfect

And the rails outside would shake with anticipation

A time when everyone would visit me

But now the rails are rusted

Saddened by this life too

Now no one comes to visit me

Because I am rotted through

Alone with nothing left to do

Please won’t someone come visit me?
