Voice

I'm a tough character, but I don't need a reason or voice.
Even though I rarely need to use it, I have my own voice.
Those days watching the sun set and seeing the stars burn bright
Pushing myself to the limits without the light

Living this life without that purpose to go forward
Ever wonder why you do this, and that?
If only everything in life was so straightforward
Working life like an acrobat.
Living confused and and getting attached

Ever fall? ever cry till the sun show your tears?
While stumbling over empty bottle of beers
In a flash, it turns days into months into years
Walking backwards down into those fears

Living a nightmare in these stories only saved for a madman,
Asking god to give you plan.
You ever thought life doesn't have doorman
Got to grab life instead of riding the waves like a journeyman.

Wanting to live the life of kings and queens
Feel that fire in your veins
Still learning about life and feeling helpless in this mess
Holding that knife and hoping for bless

Put that knife down and look at the road.
We all know life makes us want to unload
Everything has a purpose, everyone has a soul
Look into the eyes of your greatest fears
Look into the reflection and see your tears.
See that transgression and wipe those tears

We are made to live and love
Below is the pain and happiness is above
Don't become vain and find that true love
Fall in to that passion that it can't stop.
climb up to that hilltop

Realize that other people are holding those same scars.
Tell them the stories of your journey.
How you never ended up up on a gurney.
How You crawl, climb, and fight to be where you are
Holding back tears and showing your scars
conquered your fears and every night looking at the stars.
Needing that voice or reason to help fight their wars.
