Voice

Whitney Garcia

    Voice

Heart throbbed and crashing

Visions inside my mind, flashing

No, I won’t change my mind, it happened.

Yeah, I keep hearing it, it’s deafening

Why, it’s affecting me, it’s bothering

No, its caused a pain in me, its blackened.

Sounds I was hearing for the first time,

Viewed what happened like a crime,

Should have let the feelings reach.

Shouldn’t have paid attention to the grime,

Giving the behavior of a mime,

Should have told them I was a peach, I didn’t want to hear that speech.

Repetition in my heart,

Expressing this pain in my art.

Knew this would happen from the start.

Yeah, this caused a tension to grow,

The voices inside me want you to know,

That deep inside I feel woe

The sounds there again vibrated,

Hearing those words that resonated.

Cannot find a way to eliminate it.
