Voice

With mind full, ready to burst,
Pencil poised and ready.
Once was hungry, filled with thirst,
but now is sure and steady.

Thoughts and ideas pour in and flow out.
The dots all connecting.
Of my efforts, there can be no doubt.
My voice clearly projecting.

This voice I have earned.
This voice I will keep.
This voice won't be silent.

Confident and sure,
no longer quiet.
Strong but not defiant.
