Voice

The sound of invisible vowels

and heavy periods

ricochet off ones conscience with harsh

and uncertain authority.

Silent and booming.

Lethargic and excited.

Left.

Right.

A paradox.

Double meanings to tickle the mind

and words with meaningless relevance.

Let the voice of words carry the arguments of both

persecution and defense.

If you only write once,

may one word mean

a thousand.
