Voice of Power

Poetry

That little voice in the back of your mind

that whispers in the loudest of moments.

The poet is the vessel that holds all the secrets

shows no emotion and hides in the dark.

Poetry

Words that flow in a powerful calm whisper with no regret

The mouth quivers as the words flow hopelessly

Your head pounding, stomach aching trying to reject the medicine

Poetry

When the pain goes away and you're no longer afraid.

You can speak words that have never been spoken,

share stories that have never been written,

inspire those who never cared.

Poetry

The reason I can say my name without shame...
