Voiceless

Enigmas pulsing through my mind, Wordless and trapped. Emotions flicker through my psyche, Unremitting and unforgiving. How can I release all I'm feeling In a deluge that refuses To be formed with words? How can I convey my deepest thoughts When I've been struck dumb And I'm standing alone? When the words fail, The pen speaks for me. It glides across the page, Leaving inked thoughts. It leaves behind a dark trail Of my innermost secrets. It is my silent voice, My muted thoughts, My soul on paper. My poetry.
