Voices
I hear those voices, whispers, then shouts
Thoughts too raw to be spoken out loud
They come like bullets to end the peace
Sometimes I wish those voices would cease
But when midnight comes those voices are sweet
The words come out through the blackest of inks
A flashlight hidden when the floorboards creak
Only then can the voices truly speak
