Voices
I see a boy
No, a young man who's life has been nothing but a nightmare
Long days and lonely nights
Waiting
Wondering if God might have something better
Trapped
Stuck in a home with critical parents
There's no escape,
No relief
The bed sheets are heavy
Trapped underneath
The bed room shrinks
The voice, it speaks
Why not jump?
You'll be at peace.
It won't even hurt
They won't even miss you!
Lies! Lies! Lies!
That's all they tell you!
Granny's pills!
Get ‘em quick
Where's ole Steve when you need a hit
There's no way out
you should quit
a stranger
your all alone
outcast even in your home
If this man only knew the hope that I do
The God of the universe wants you
If only you could hear his voice
He’s speaking
Just listen
He chose you
He thinks that you are worth it
He made you
You are special
And you wouldn't believe how much he loves you
He's speaking to you
Can't you hear it?
Don't jump
I still have so much planned for you
This pain you feel, I know it too
I came to earth, I died for you
For all your guilt, your shame, your faults
I took the blame,
I made you new
You are special
You are mines
And all your troubles, I can use
They aren't too big for me and you
Come on my son, take my hand
I forgive you
Get up and walk
Come away with me to a place where you can be with me
I can make you like me
When I am done, you will know
I am God
