Voices

There are voices in my head,

I hear and i listen to what's said.

I hear them at night,

when I lay in my bed.

I hear them at noon,

when I look at my bread.

I can't seem to stop them,

for as long as I live,

for those voices will follow,

till I am long dead.

They shriek at me calmly,

they howl and they dread,

they tell me to go about shiftly,

but i shut them instead.
