The Voices

These voices in my head are slowly eating away at me.
Telling me lie after lie
Trying to get me to run,
But that's not something you decide.

Leave me alone,
Let me be,
Please,
Set me free!

You no longer
Have a grasp on me
You can try whatever you want,
But I'm not going to flee.

You still do eat
Away at me,
But I've learned how to control you
And that's something you can't see.

You do not
Have any power,
Your attempts will fail,
In the next hour.
